UCYP CONSULTATION & REGISTRATION DAY @ BENTA

On 29th March 2018, UCYP Consultation & Registration Day was held at Benta Community Hall. The program was a collaboration between Kolej Yayasan Pahang and Pahang State Basic Amenities and Environment Committee. The community and schools students around Benta came to join the program.

UCYP Consultation & Registration Day was attended by YB Dato’ Sri Ir. Hj. Mohd Soffi bin Tan Sri Abd Razak, Chairman of Pahang State Basic Amenities and Environment Committee as well as Benta Assemblymen (ADUN). The program started with BR1M distribution to Benta community by YB Dato’ Sri Ir. Hj. Mohd Soffi. Also present was YH Dato’ Norhishamuddin Yaacob, UCYP Managing Director.

“BR1M is one of the government efforts to help the citizens. It is not much but it can still help those in needs. Apart from BR1M, the government also always emphasizes on the importance of education for the youth. There are many ways or links provided for them to further their studies. One of the colleges that offer various interesting program is University College of Yayasan Pahang (UCYP),” said YB Dato’ Sri Ir. Hj. Mohd Soffi. “Education for the children is far more important than the financial constraint. Various financial assistances are offered for everyone, whether from private organization or government,” added him more.

According to UCYP Managing Director, University College of Yayasan Pahang is a college for all despite the differences. “UCYP is not a Malay college or an Indian college neither a Chinese college. This is a college for all. We do not separate people based on differences but we considered them as one. This is what UCYP is all about. A multiracial and multinational UCYP,” added him.

Consultation & Registration Day is a platform for the Benta community to grab the opportunities to further studies and build better future. Apart from consultation regarding the program offered by UCYP, there was also cooking and cake decorating demonstration by KYP Advanced Skills, exhibitions by faculties, as well as Lucky Draw. The school’s students were really enjoyed the cooking and cake decorating demonstration as they can try it out themselves. The prizes for the Lucky Draw were various hampers and also bicycles. The winners of the Lucky Draw were so thrilled when they received their prizes. The program ended with UCYP personnel splendid performances.
