In the holy month of Ramadhan, Muslims are fasting, refraining themselves not only from hunger and thirst but also from disobedience. Ramadhan is the month of forgiveness, remembrance and giving. With that in mind, University College of Yayasan Pahang (UCYP) launched Endowment and Asnaf Fund program, for the students. The objective of the program is to give assistance to the students in need. The program was officiated by YAB Dato’ Sri Wan Rosdy bin Wan Ismail, Pahang Chief Minister during UCYP Grand Iftar with the Pahang Chief Minister. The grand iftar was held at UCYP Residential College Tanjung Lumpur. Apart from that, YAB Dato’ Sri Wan Rosdy also officiated the UCYP Halaqah Program. This program was established in order to encourage the staff and students to recite Quran.
“First of all, I would like to congratulate on the new status granted and now, KYP is known as University College of Yayasan Pahang. Congratulations on the latest achievement! From what I can see, the facilities provided are so conducive and they are impressive” said YAB Dato’ Sri Wan Rosdy bin Wan Ismail, Pahang Chief Minister.
While the Managing Director of UCYP was really honored upon the acceptance of UCYP invitation from the Chief Minister. “Thank you YAB, for your presence at our Grand Iftar. As we all know, Ramadhan is the month of giving and forgiveness. Therefore, UCYP always shares what we have with everyone – students, staff and people around. We care about their wellbeing,” said YH DAto’ Norhishamuddin Yaacob, UCYP Managing Director.
During the Grand Iftar too, YAB Dato’ Sri Wan Rosdy presented contributions to thirty (30) UCYP Asnaf students.
