2019 New Year Message & Staff Gathering with UCYP Vice Chancellor

A gathering with UCYP Vice Chancellor, Prof. Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Ahmad bin Haji Zainuddin is held on 15th January 2019 at the Main Hall of Yayasan Pahang Complex.  The gathering is the first meeting of UCYP Vice Chancellor with the staff and lecturers in 2019. It is for the purpose of sharing the ideas of Adaptive Concept that is to be implemented by the institution.

Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad bin Haji Zainuddin highlighted on the 27th year of anniversary, indicating the maturity of the institution in terms of teaching & learning, students’ experience, affiliations, corporate branding and in the future, there will be more activities on research and consultations.  “To form a prestigious University College, every one of us plays a crucial role”, said Prof. Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Ahmad in his speech.

In conjunction with the introduction of The New Strategic Planning of UCYP 2019-2023, the Vice Chancellor emphasizes on  the eleven (11) touch points of an Adaptive University namely: industry engagement, staff development, alumni network, physical & intellectual infrastructure, research, innovation & consultancy, branding & marketing as well as student enrolment, academic excellence and internationalisation. The audience is also exposed to the concept of prudent spending which enables the company to govern and discipline itself by reasoning the money expenditure on certain matters.

As a College University, more Bachelor programmes will be introduced that include Bachelor in International Tourism, Bachelor in Accountancy, Bachelor in Plantation Industry Management, Bachelor in Software Engineering, Bachelor in Islamic Management with Halal Business, Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Bachelor in Visual Creative Design. The plan of introducing the new bachelor’s programs is a step towards the fulfillment of global and national needs.

Following the quote from the 6th president of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono who claimed that a society who accepts change is the only society to be able to withstand any obstacles coming in the future, “I hope this opportunity to construct the new image of UCYP creates awareness to us as a whole. We aim to enhance the future learning of youth. In order to achieve that, we should start creating an adaptive environment”, said Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad before ending his speech.
