On 2nd March 2019, University College of Yayasan Pahang (UCYP) in collaboration with JobsMalaysia, has successfully organised a program called Future Career Design (FCD) 2019 at Yayasan Pahang Complex. The programme was officiated by the Pahang Chief Minister’s official representative, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Syed Ibrahim Bin Syed Ahmad who is also the Chairman of the Islamic Affairs, Education and Health Affairs committee of Pahang.
The vast growth of technology promotes digital communication and the medium of interaction is based on technology and innovative features. Future Career Design 2019 has utilized the smart technology and approximately one thousand job vacancies identified and offered by twenty local and multi-national companies.
FCD provides opportunities for the graduates from the institutions around Pahang to find qualified jobs according to the fields of studies and interest. Not only that, this programme also offers chances to the graduates and non-graduates to attend open interviews conducted by the registered companies participated in the FCD 2019.
“This consistent effort is done by the government with Yayasan Pahang since ages that give benefits to ourselves and community as well. The government also spends billions annually in educational field, specifically to educate children from elementary school until university in order to generate analytical, and critical thinking generation”, said Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Syed Ibrahim Bin Syed Ahmad in his speech.
Today, the roles of university and academic institutions are wider, more significant and more complex as compared before. Zainuddin and the Pahang Labour Department Director, Encik Pezman Bin Che Husin, witnessed by Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Syed Ibrahim Bin Syed Ahmad.
In his opening remarks, the Vice Chancellor of UCYP, highlighted that the collaboration will meet four viewpoints of agreement on bilateral activities between UCYP and JobsMalaysia which are to formulating, planning and implementing activities that help to enhance the marketability of UCYP’s graduates.
“Other than that, this MoC will give exceptional benefits for both parties such as exchanging information on graduates, distributing information on employers to UCYP for the purpose of staff and students’ industrial training, and last but not least organizing community service programmes (CSRs) together for the targeted groups”, added him.
Congratulations to UCYP and JobsMalaysia. May the collaboration lead to more dynamic, innovative and impactful activities that provide benefits to both parties and the community around.
