The one-day START-UP SME PROGRAMME offers SMEs the basic elements for SMEs to start the business and generate a steady income. The basic steps in getting SMEs business started will be illustrated in simple and easy to understand.

  • Then, SMEs need to obtain information what they need to sell, where to sell and who are the potential customers for SMEs.

  • SMEs need to know the steps in establishing the business and putting ideas into reality with all necessary actions to be taken to ensure the business is legal and can operate within the budget and capacity.

COURSE TITLE
DESIGN OF REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURE USING EUROCODE 2

OBJECTIVE
The objective of this course is to give the basic knowledge in reinforced concrete design to Eurocode 2 (EC2). The main part of the course will focus on the contents of EC2 and design basis for bending shear, serviceability limit states and durability and detailing requirements including design steps for basis structural elements such as beam, slab, column, foundation and stair will be discussed.
LEARNING OUTCOME
 After the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
1) Describe the contents and structure of Eurocode 2
2)Identify the design basis and design criteria of Eurocode 2
3) Perform basic calculation for ultimate state and serviceability limit state based on Eurocode 2
4) Design reinforced concrete elements using Eurocode 2
